Phone Activation of Office

We will guide you step by step to a successful phone activation.

These error messages may appear if the Microsoft servers are overloaded, offline, or generally unreachable. Another reason for this could be an insufficient internet connection.

It may happen that after entering the product key, the following error messages can appear:

You can choose between online and phone activation.

If the online activation did not work, please select phone activation.

Step 1

After you have clicked on phone activation, a window will be displayed.

Here you will see a total of 3 steps. First, select your respective country (Germany, Austria, Switzerland, etc.) under Step 1.

Step 2

In Step 2, a Installation ID will be displayed to you.

Step 3

First, select the country/region from which you are calling. Now call the toll-free hotline: 0 800 2848 283.

This is not an obstacle to completing the activation; it usually appears with older Office versions as Microsoft does not support these versions.

Step 4

After ringing in the hotline, an audio instruction will inform you about the security measures and ask you to confirm them with 1.

Now click on 1 to continue.

You will be asked if you would like to receive the web address for the online activation experience. Please respond with "Yes".

Then the web address for the online activation experience will be provided to you. Please visit the website provided with your mobile phone. Please note that different web addresses will be provided for each activation.

(E.g. visualsupport.microsoft.com//HhtOhEO)

Select Microsoft Office, then Windows.

Select the Office version.

Step 5

If you have done everything correctly, you will now be prompted to enter the installation ID in groups on your smartphone. At the end, click on Submit.

 Then the confirmation ID will be displayed.

Step 6

Please enter the numbers using your numeric keypad on the keyboard; your computer will automatically jump to the next block as soon as the previous one is full.

Click on "Next" in your activation window to complete the activation.

If you have done everything correctly, this message should now appear:
