How to install Windows 7?
To install Windows 7, you first need an installation medium. To do this, burn the ISO file provided by us to a DVD or create a bootable USB stick.
You can find the instructions for creating the medium here.
1. Boot the computer from the installation medium
After the installation medium has been created, you need to adjust the boot order in the BIOS so that your computer boots from the DVD or USB stick.
You can usually open the BIOS at startup by pressing one of the following keys:
Delete, F2, F12, F1, F8, ESC or F10
Then make sure that the created installation medium is at the top of the boot order.
Important:
Please do not change any other settings in the BIOS, as this may affect the functionality of your system.
2. Start Windows installation
After booting from the installation medium, the Windows setup will load automatically.
Then select:
- Language
- Time and currency format
- Keyboard layout
Then click “Next”.
3. Select installation type
For a complete new installation, select the option:
“Custom (Advanced)”
4. Select target disk
Now select the hard drive or partition where Windows 7 should be installed.
If there is already an operating system on the computer, you can delete the existing partitions and perform a clean installation.
Warning:
This will delete all saved data. Therefore, make sure to back up your important files beforehand.
5. Complete installation
After selecting the hard drive, the installation will begin automatically.
Then set your username and optionally a password, and follow the further instructions of the installation wizard.
Done
After a successful installation, Windows 7 is fully available to you and can be used immediately.
