Installation on Windows 7
To open and install a downloaded ISO file on Windows 7, you need an additional program, as this operating system does not support an integrated virtual drive.
You can open the ISO file using a free tool like 7-Zip or WinRAR without having to burn it to a CD or DVD.
After opening, start the installation by double-clicking setup.exe.
You can download WinRAR here.
Installation on Windows 8 / 8.1 and Windows 10
Unlike Windows 7, Windows 8, 8.1, and Windows 10 already have an integrated virtual drive, so no additional software is required.
To do this, follow these steps:
- Right-click on the downloaded ISO file
- Select “Open with”
- Open the file with Windows Explorer
The ISO file will then be mounted and displayed as a virtual drive.
Start the installation by double-clicking setup.exe.
