Upgrade to Windows 10 from Windows 7/8/8.1

This guide applies to the following Windows versions:

• Windows 8.1 Pro

With the help of the Microsoft Media Creation Tool, you can upgrade your existing operating system

Step 1:

• Download the latest Media Creation Tool from Microsoft:
  https://www.microsoft.com/de-de/software-download/windows10
  

Step 2:

• Open your Downloads folder and run the downloaded file.

Step 3:

• Wait for the preparations to complete.

Step 4:

• Read and accept the Microsoft license terms.

Step 5:

• Select the option:

  “Upgrade this PC now”

  and click Next.

Step 6:

• Windows 10 is now downloading.

  Depending on your internet connection, this process may take some time.

Step 7:

• Then click on:

  “Change what to keep”

Step 8:

• Specify which files, programs, and settings should be kept.
• Then click Next.

Step 9:

• Now click “Install”.

Step 10:

• Now accept the license terms.

Step 11:

• The installation of Windows 10 is now in progress.

  Your computer will restart multiple times during the process. Please do not interrupt the installation.

Done!

After successfully completing the upgrade, Windows 10 will be available on your device.
