This guide shows you how to display the license server ID for RDS CALs and correctly configure the necessary settings for installation.
Step 1
Start the Server Manager and open the Remote Desktop Licensing Manager.
Step 2
Select the appropriate server and open the Properties.
Step 3
In the lower part of this window, you can always find your License Server ID.
Step 4: Set Connection Method
Before installing the RDS CALs, the connection method must be set to “Web Browser”.
Confirm the setting with “OK”.
Step 5: Install RDS CALs
Right-click on the appropriate server and select “Install Licenses”.
Step 6
Ensure that the connection method is still set to “Web Browser”.
Then click “Next” to continue.
Step 7
In the next step, enter the Key Package ID received via email from support@it-nerd24.co.uk.
Confirm the entry with “Next” so that the RDS CALs are installed on the server.
After successful installation, the RDS CALs are activated on the server and can be used.
