There are various reasons why a download may be interrupted. A common cause is a slow internet connection.
Please first check your internet connection and the current download speed before restarting the download. You can check the speed, for example, with a speed test:

Other possible causes
Your firewall or antivirus program may also block the download. Some security programs prevent the download of IMG or ISO files or mistakenly classify them as dangerous.
All provided installation files and images come directly from Microsoft and are free of viruses or malware.
Solutions
If your internet connection is fast enough and the download still stops, please try the following:
- Switch the browser (e.g., from Firefox to Google Chrome)
- Check your antivirus program
Note on the antivirus program
Windows Defender usually correctly identifies ISO or EXE files as safe.
However, with third-party antivirus programs, it may happen that downloads are mistakenly blocked. In this case, please temporarily disable the antivirus program and then re-enable it.
Please also ensure that your firewall and browser are up to date.
